Thank you Alison & Craig for the most splendid stay at your wonderful lodge.
We have had the most amazing week.The Lodge is so homely equipped with everything you need
for a home from home,if not better. My son studies at Strathclyde University and the Lodge was a
peaceful retreat for him. We traveled all over including visiting relatives in Bannockburn.
We are sad to leave this immaculate cottage and its two endearing hosts, we hope to come back in February.

The Falkirk Wheel – 12 miles south of Stirling

The World’s first and only rotating boat lift. Completed in 2002 the huge Falkirk wheel re-connects the Fourth & Clyde and Union canals after the 11 original lock gates were dismantled in the 1930’s. Also an opportunity to visit the famous Kelpieshttps://www.scottishcanals.co.uk/falkirk-wheel/

The Hill House (National Trust property) – Helensburgh

Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a revolutionary architect and designer and The Hill House is considered to be his domestic masterpiece. Mackintosh and his wife Margaret created almost everything, from the building itself to the furniture and textiles.
