Dear Alison, Craig & Shadow…

Thank you for an amazing place to stay while we explored the beautiful west coast.

I am from Balloch but my partner is a London boy, so it was lovely to have the Lodge so close to everything yet peaceful & remote.

Can’t believe you can’t hear the road from the garden…  Shadow popped by a few times, especially when he realised we had ham in the fridge!

We will certainly be back.

The Hill House (National Trust property) – Helensburgh

Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a revolutionary architect and designer and The Hill House is considered to be his domestic masterpiece. Mackintosh and his wife Margaret created almost everything, from the building itself to the furniture and textiles.
