We love the Cottage and the weather was dry most of the time which meant we could do plenty of walking, especially around Loch Lomond.
We went to Luss and Balmaha where we ended up climbing Conic Hill due to taking a wrong turning on the forest trail! It was a tough climb but well worth it for the views across Loch Lomond. We also did a lot of walking along the West Highland Way and visited Rowardennan and climbed Ben Lomond.
We walked from the cottage into Helensburgh and back and looked around the area into Glen Fruin along the road at the back of the cottage. We have eaten out everyday with no complaints. We wanted a walking/hiking holiday and that’s what we got, spending whole days doing just that.
The scenery of Scotland is beautiful and we have enjoyed every minute here. A wonderful holiday, wish we could stay longer.
