Glenfruin Lodge unexpectedly became the place we both had to recuperate from being unwell. Sadly this meant we didn’t get to explore as much as hoped locally, but it did mean we took advantage of everything the cottage offered, which was everything we needed.
The garden and cottage between them are perfect and meant we still really enjoyed our stay. This, with Craig’s cheery disposition made a big difference to our stay.

Thanks for everything, Karen & Graham, Sydney, Australia

Our third stay in the Cottage (our very first visit, we stayed in the Lodge). We love staying here.
As well as visiting old favourites, we found new things to do. We finally achieved our walk up Ben Goeb from Luss. A challenge but we made it! We did our fantastic Edinburgh Tattoo, driving to the Park ‘n’ Ride at Hermiston. We took a ferry across to the Isle of Bute from Wemyss, where we visited Mount Stuart and took a train from Balloch to Partick to visit the Riverside Museum – an amazing place and free entry. We also visited the Tall Ship while there.
We went across to Inchmurrin island on both friday’s by ferry and enjoyed a lovely meal in the Restaurant. Luss is as lovely as ever and we took the ferry across to Inchcailloch island with stunning views and enjoyed our picnic and paddle in Loch Lomond.

Alison & Craig, thank you once again for letting us stay in the cottage.
Still loads to come back for…

A lovely place to stay. It feels like home.
We had a wonderful week, the weather was alright for us.
In our home town it was raining cats & dogs.
In the Loch Lomond area it was alright
Glasgow was nice to visit, and thank you for suggesting the trip to visit Inveraray.

Many thanks

Another very relaxing week at Crosskeys, we have been coming here for many years and it is a real “home from home”
Whilst there is plenty to see locally, Glenfruin is ideally situated for trips farther afeild. to the west we have Inveraray , Lochgilphead and Oban are all well worth a visit.
We also visited the re opened Burrell Collection in Glasgow, having previously been there 8/9 years ago the refurbishment and increase in inter active displays was certainly impressive.
Thanks again Alison & Craig for helping us have a great holiday.

Glenfruin Lodge is a great place to stay & unwind for a few days. Spotlessly clean, the property has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Large private garden was great to sit in during the amazing weather I had. Close enough to shops & restaurants etc. in Helensburgh..Loch Lomond also very close with great walks & views. I highly recommend staying here & won’t hesitate to book again next time I’m in the area.
