We have loved staying here at Glenfruin Lodge, its our first time in Scotland and it really is the perfect location to explore Loch Lomond and the surrounding areas.

We highly recommend visiting Luss and eating at the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel, the wood pigeon is so tasty.

We also enjoyed visiting Balloch and Helensburgh !! La Barca and Masala Twist, both really tasty !

Hope to make Scotland a holiday again soon, so much to explore and just not enough time !

De cottage zelf is van alle gemaken voorzien en erg sfeervol, heerlijk om terug te komen na een lange dag buiten in de prachtige omgeving. Craig en alison ontzettend bedankt

What a lovely, relaxing 2 weeks holiday we’ve had in this wonderful Lodge. The wet weather meant we found

Intu Braehead, Loch Lomond Shores & Glasgow for shopping centres ! When the weather improved we visited the stunning

Geilston Gardens & had lovely walks in Drymen and Ardarden Estate.

Fruin Farm is amazing & only across the road, delicious breakfast and dinners. Lovely meals at Cardross Inn and in Helensburgh – Le Barca, The Wee Kelpie and The Wetherspoon Henry Bell.

Such a lovely time away for our annual trip to Scotland

Glenfruin Lodge is lovely, and central to lots of places of interest. We took advice from other visitors comments & went to Luss, went aboard Maid of the Loch, took the 2 hour boat trip on Loch Lomond.

The £7.00 train trip to Glasgow was well worth the money although we only made it as far as Partick & The Kelvingrove museum, we were there for hours and could have spent a whole week. Across the road from there we enjoyed wonderful Pizza at “Baffo” lovely staff too !!

Also good for pizza is”Padrone” on West Clyde Street in Helensburgh.

Our disappointments were that The Hill House in Helensburgh & Dumbarton Castle were both closed  – but we have an excuse to return, not that we need an excuse !!

We spent a very pleasant stay in your comfortable cottage.

We enjoyed the Scottish sun and the beautiful landscapes around Loch Lomond, Loch Katrine and Eck …..

without forgetting the digestion of the local beers in the garden and the visit of the distillery of Oban

The Trossachs are a peaceful place where he can live well !

What a gem of a Cottage it had everything we needed, enjoyed sitting outside in the peaceful garden.

Location is excellent for exploring different places. Lots of lovely nature walks in Balloch and Helensburgh.

We took the train to Glasgow which cost £7.00 each return and went on the City tour bus, more than we thought to see around Glasgow. Loch Lomond is a beautiful place to stay, we had a great time with fantastic views.

Thank you to Craig & Alison for letting us stay at Glenfruin Lodge.
