This was a surprise booking by my husband for my 30th birthday.  He out did himself.  The Lodge is lovely.  Our little daughter crawled all over the place, think she loved the under floor heating.

We got to see lots of lovely views of the Loch, a hidden little garden is Ardkinglas (left details in the basket) this is lovely for a gentle walk off the beaten track.

If it rains would recommend a trip up to Glencoe, even have a little Ski!

Lots of lovely places and we really enjoyed our holiday.

We will be back and will be recommending.

Thanks,

We’ve had a lovely week in your very homely and cosy cottage.  Everything was so clean and tastefully furnished!

Weather has been glorious and we’ve enjoyed visits to Loch Lomond, Helensburgh, Aberfoyle and Blair Drummond Safari Park (which was the highlight of the week for our little boy!).  He wasn’t so sure of the Easter Bunny when he met him on Sunday!

Thanks for making us feel so welcome!

Best Wishes, Paula, Colin and David

Dear Craig & Alison,

We have had a fantastic week here in your lovely cottage.  Yogi (our black labrador) really enjoyed himself especially in the snow which was great.  We’ve done loads of walking, will be good to have a rest!  Would recommend to friends and family.

Dear Craig & Alison,

This has been like home from home for us.  We all had a wonderful time here in your beautiful cottage.  We will definitely be back soon hopefully and will recommend to our friends and family.

Even Kiva our dog is sad to leave, she especially loved lying in her bed in front of the fire!

Sad to be leaving already,

Well we really enjoyed our long weekend, so welcomed by Alison & Craig.

The Lodge was very well equipped, excellent location, loved the peace & quiet but handy enough to get to the hustle & bustle also.

Hope to visit again soon and will be sure to let others know about this little haven…

Thanks again Alison & Craig!

Dear Alison & Craig,

The first step we took into the Crosskeys Cottage, we felt welcome and at home.  The colours, the decorations just make you feel so cosy.

It was our first holiday/vacation as a family of four.  Travelling with two children under two, we thought might be a bit tricky, but turned out just fine.

We came here to visit friends of my husband who used to live in Helensburgh as a teenager.  So we visited them in Garelochhead, where you have a very nice view of the Naval Base at night.  The scenery all in all was just breath taking, whilst looking out the window when driving.

We went and took a walk beside the Clyde, went to Glasgow and went strolling around an Antique store.  We went through Glen Fruin, which was amazing, we took the kids to Stirling Castle and got to hear the history of James V, and his two wives and their daughter Mary, told from an actress in the clothes of the past.  The view of Wallace Monument and his history was also something that we found very interesting.

My husband and I decided we definitely want to come back here.

Thanks for everything.

Greetings from Germany, Rachel, Marcel, Emmelyn and Jacon

Beautiful cottage (Glenfruin Lodge).  One of the nicest I’ve stayed in and far bigger than photos, they do not do it justice!

Really enjoyed the whirlpool bath – it is all about the bathroom!

Walked every day despite the weather… four seasons in one day – rain, snow, sun, wind!

The storm took out our electricity for 24 hours, but Alison & Craig provided candles, cooking stove and the wonderful fire that kept us going.

Walked on Conic Hill (wow views!)

Lochgoilhead (beautiful setting), Ben Aan, Callander Crags, Balloch, Luss, Arrochar Alps and only scratched the surface!

If you like curries the Masala Twist in Helensburgh does a fantastic hot and peppery venison curry.  The Inverbeg Inn has free entertainment Friday nights but beware the ‘large’ cod & chips – HUGE!! but yummy…

We will be back,

We’ve had a lovely time here – both exploring the area, and staying in by the fire and watching films.  This is such a lovely and comfortable cottage (Crosskeys) – feels like a home away from home.  You’ve provided everything we needed – including some gifts under the tree! We feel very welcomed.

We’ve managed to pack our few days full – a lovely, frosty walk in Arrochar (No. 15 in the book provided – definitely recommend!) followed by an accidental (but no less enjoyable) trip to Stirling to see the castle.

Today we went to Dumbarton Castle, then on to the Glengoyne Distillery – another definite! Followed by a stunning drive along the loch.

Thank you for such a lovely stay, I will definitely recommend you to friends and family, and will hope to be back to explore some more!

Thank you!

Had an excellent break at your fabulous “wee But n’ Ben”.

Every small detail considered by Craig & Alison to make Christmas special, right down to the gifts under the tree…

For any guests with dogs this is a great location – The Coach House (tea room) in Luss is a must visit – Dogs very welcome.

We look forward to returning.

Thank you very much,

The Lodge was beautiful, the bathroom was to die for.  Had a lovely stay and will be recommending to everyone I know.  Alison and Craig very helpful and informative.
