We’ve had a wonderful and very relaxing week here at Glenfruin Lodge.  It was a very special place in which to spend our ‘honeymoon’.  The card and sparkling wine were much appreciated on our arrival.

Despite the rain and fog in the early part of the week we enjoyed some beautiful drives and managed to get some walking in.

The Lodge is lovely and very comfortable and we’ve enjoyed some cosy nights in together.

Thanks for a great stay!

We’ve loved our stay, celebrating Hogmanay at Crosskeys Cottage!

Our arrival on a dark, damp evening, after a 7 hour journey was made extra special by the wee surprise left for us under the Christmas tree – Thank You!!

By the time we get home, we will have travelled 1,000 miles! but we saw and did loads…..

On one of the days we climbed Conic Hill and drove along the road that stops at Inversnaid – ‘the’ best drive of the week – spotted mountain goats, owls and deer and even a stag! The views across the loch here are amazing and the falls at the end make the 15 mile adventure worth it.

We’ve had the most amazing stay here.  The cottage is beautiful, cosy, warm and comfortable and we’ll be recommending it to our friends.

Many thanks, hope to see you again sometime….

We have just enjoyed a very special and memorable Christmas here at Glenfruin Lodge.

We found the accommodation more spacious and luxurious than we expected and the log burning fire added to that warm, cosy, Chrismassy feel.

We enjoyed walks around Loch Katrine and Balloch Castle and visited Luss to reminisce about our wedding there 6 months earlier!

Luss/Loch Lomond will always be special to us and having enjoyed such a lovely property our happy memories are increased further.

Thank you!

We have enjoyed a lovely stay at Glenfruin Lodge – the weather has been beautifully cold, crisp and sunny with frosty mornings.

The warm & cosy lodge has been perfect after cold days!  We would thoroughly recommend a trip to see pucks Glen near Dunoon – a magical gorge walk.

Thank you for providing this great place to stay.

We have enjoyed a lovely couple of nights here infront of the log burner.  The Lodge is perfectly equipped with everything we could possibly need and more…

Freddy really enjoyed playing with the toys and listening to the stories.  Most of all he enjoyed ‘trip-trapping’ across the little bridge over the stream.

We enjoyed a walk around picturesque Luss on Saturday.

Thank you, Paul, Alice, Freddy (aged 3) and Jasmine (aged 1)

We’ve had a lovely few days at Glenfruin Lodge and we have been lucky with the weather considering the time of year.

We had a beautiful walk around the banks of Loch Katrine and a village walk around Luss which was very pretty.  We drove through dramatic views to Inverary and stopped at Loch Fyne for a delicious lunch of oysters, mussels and smoked salmon.  It has been wonderful to return to the comfortable and cosy lodge each evening.

Thank you for a lovely break, hopefully we’ll be back soon.

We organised a break here just a day or so before arriving.  We were due to fly to New Zealand on Friday 19th Oct but had to cancel at the 11th hour.  Our visit here was to allow us to get away, help get over the disappointment of not going to New Zealand and to help us recharge our batteries for challenges ahead.  Glenfruin Lodge has played a pivotol role in helping us unwind, enjoy a good sleep and celebrate our great love for each other.  The Lodge is beautiful, relaxing and everthing we needed at this moment.

Thank you for allowing us to stay here at such short notice.  The break has been perfect for us… the right place at the right time.

We found the cottage very comfortable and also a good base for touring.  During our stay we visited:- Dunoon, Calandar, Aberfoyle, Tarbet, Inverary – a trip to oban via Lochgilphead is well worth it.

Cottage very pleasant and warm, excellent weather!  Must do’s are the train to Mallaig – stunning and Hill House.  A trip to Callendar is worthwhile mainly due to the drive through the Trossachs.

Thank you for the welcome to your lovely Lodge which we enjoyed staying in.  Although us ‘Oldies’ are not as active and agile ‘walking wise’ as we used to be – we were enjoying our trips round and about and visiting some of the places other folks have mentioned and were looking forward to doing a bit more – but sad to say we received ‘not good news’  from home and we had to leave & return there.

Will certainly be recommending Glenfruin Lodge & Crosskeys Holiday Lets to everyone – and hope to come back ourselves sometime.

Many thanks
