Thank you for such a wonderful & welcoming stay in Crosskeys Cottage.
I can honestly say we have had the best stay in this Cottage, it is beautiful
and in such a lovely area.
The dogs have enjoyed themselves here and have been so tired after our fun filled days out.
I wouldn’t change a thing about the cottage and would love to come again,
Thank you for being such wonderful hosts.

Another relaxing and fantastic stay in Glenfruin Lodge! The weather was glorious this year so lazy days were an easy option in the sunshine. A trip to Oban is always a highlight to get the gest Fish & Chips at the ‘Oban Fish & Chip Shop’ in George Street.
A day out on the Rosneath Peninsula is a great way to see the Argyll coast. A trip to Pitlochry has become a mandatory part of our holidays to visit Cafe Bibba and the Sweetie Shop! Balloch Country Park is well laid out and great location for local gentle walking.
A beautiful location and a great cottage – well done Alison & Craig for keeping things going and continuing to provide this ‘oasis’ during these difficult times.

Thank you Alison & Craig for a most wonderful, comfortable cottage for us to stay in for our holiday. We have had the most amazing week exploring Loch Lomond, including lots of hikiing every day.
Some of our favourites included The Cobbler, the Beinn Dubh – Glen Striddle horseshoe and Conic Hill. All with the most spectacular views.
We also drove a bit further one day up to Glenfinnan Viaduct which was spectacular and enjoyed the amazing scenic road trip!
Crosskeys Cottage was the most perfect base to come back to each day, with everything you need for a comfortable stay – especially the bath!
Thank you and we hope to be back again soon!

We have had a lovely stay at Crosskeys cottage, enjoying a warm and cosy cottage. Highlights of our week have been Glenarn Gardens in Rhu, the Ardkinglas Gardens and the beautiful village of Luss. Also not to be missed is the climb up Conic Hill, a visit to Inchcailloch island at Balmaha and a walk around the peninsula at Ardmore.
Thanks Alison for your recommendations, nothing disappointed.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a revolutionary architect and designer and The Hill House is considered to be his domestic masterpiece. Mackintosh and his wife Margaret created almost everything, from the building itself to the furniture and textiles. More examples of his work can be seen in Glasgow.https://www.nts.org.uk/visit/places/the-hill-house
Located on the banks of Loch Lomond, off the A82, 5 miles north of Crosskeys. Occupation of this area dates back to medieval times, but much of the village and the neat rows of cottages were built in the 18th and 19th centuries to house workers from the nearby slate quarries and featured in the […]
Inveraray – Day tripA marvellous day out, Inveraray is on the western bank of Loch Fyne north of Arrochar beyond the ‘Rest and be Thankful’. Inveraray Castle was used in the series Downton Abbey for a ChristmasSpecial. The Bell Tower dominates the town and houses the second heaviest ring of ten bells in the world and is open to the public spring /summer. […]
