Lovely, chilled week. Very nice cottage (Glenfruin Cottage/Lodge) in a peaceful location. Thanks for making it so homely.

We enjoyed spending time on Loch Lomond, climbing Ben Lomond and visiting the Isle of Bute.

Very comfortable stay in the beautiful stone Crosskeys Cottage.
Hill House in Helensburgh was amazing & nice cafe. Went to Tarbet where you can pick up Loch Lomond cruises – but we hadn’t booked tickets beforehand…

Saw the Falls of Falloch (worth a visit) and stopped at a ‘haunted’ pub – The Drovers Inn – good food and beer (haggis, neeps & tatties). Visited Carrick Castle just past Lochgoilhead (a ruin) but what a peaceful spot with some lovely walks – Cormonachan Community Woodlands was a good walk.

Aberfoyle – nice river walk leads to ‘Rabbit Hill Nature Trail’ followed by lunch at ‘The Fairie Tree’ pub – lovely Cullen Skink soup! Then on to Loch Katrine where you can go on the steamship – but beware of the 3.15pm sailing as it only goes one way, as we discovered to our disappointment!

Inverary Castle is fantasic and the jail is worth a visit. Lots of places to eat & drink. We enjoyed great beer and food at The George.

Do go and see the wonderful 10 acre garden at Glenarn in Rhu – its very impressive and only £6 each!

Thank you to Alison & Craig for providing such a great place to stay and the dogs loved the garden!
